University of Manitoba residency with Dakota Brass
Dakota Brass was honored to perform a mini-residency at the University of Manitoba on February 1-3. While there we performed a recital, conducted masterclasses and clinics, and taught private lessons. Our concert included works by Ewazen, Plog, Michel, Nehlybel, and several other arrangements for brass trio. The students were terrific, as I heard some of the best solo trumpet playing at a collegiate level in my career! I want to think Dr. Richard Gillis for his organization of this residency, and for his total professionalism and kindness. I look forward to having him here at UND this Spring!
