Guest Artist Residency at University of Nebraska Kearney

It was such a pleasure and honor to be asked to perform as guest soloist with the University of Nebraska Kearney Jazz Ensemble! The concert was outstanding, and they performed some fairly difficult arrangements for trumpet and jazz ensemble with great care and ease. We performed Bert Joris Walkin' Tiptoe, Astor Piazzolla Oblivion, and Duke Ellington Concerto for Cootie. While there, I conducted a masterclass and taught several lessons. It was especially great to hang with my good friend Tim Farrell, who is one of the most outstanding friends, colleagues, and musicians one could have! It was such a pleasure to meet the students and faculty there, and hope to see everyone again real soon! Please have a look at the pics of the event...
